How are credits charged?

Credits are charged on a per-use basis. For each query or tool call, 1 credit is consumed. Each time you interact with the agent in DataLab, 1 credit is consumed for the bronze model, 2 credits for silver, and 3 credits for gold.

How do credit charges interact in DataLab?

Query/tool charges and agent model charges are additive. So if you use the bronze model (1 credit per interaction) and the agent has to run 2 queries (1 credit per query), you will consume 3 credits for that interaction. If you use Alkemi API or MCP tools instead of datalab, you will not incur any model costs and will only be charged for each query and tool call.

How do I prevent running out of credits?

You can purchase additional credits at any time or set up auto-reload thresholds to ensure you always have enough credits.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period to prevent disruption.

How does downgrading from Team to Starter work?

When you request a downgrade, your current Team subscription remains active until the end of the cycle. After that, your organization reverts to Starter automatically.
